How to Replace Spaces in Bulk in Microsoft Excel

Use this formula  =SUBSTITUTE(TRIM(A2),” “,”%20”)

  • A2    —- tells us which box to replace spaces in
  • ” ”      —- tells us what character we are replacing i excel
  • %20 —- this could be anything, in this case I am replacing the space with the alpha numeric character that Google considers a space in a URL. You can replace %20 with anything, such as a dash “-” or plus sign “+”
